With fully coated optics for exceptional light transmission and Rubicon-coated objective lenses for brilliant daylight viewing, Tasco's Sonoma series binoculars achieve outstanding optical performance and minimize reflection. These zoom binoculars allow you to lock onto a subject, then zoom in for a closer view. This full-size pair of binoculars features: - Extra-bright, lever-action zoom capability from 8x to 20x

The Zip focus system allows you to move through the entire focus range in less than a half-turn of the focus wheel--an excellent feature for following fast action. They are especially suited for use over water, snow and in other bright conditions. Tech Talk
- Rubicon Coated Lenses: A Tasco exclusive, comprised of 14 different layers of multi-coating on the objective lens with a ruby-red tint to filter out red light for reduced glare in bright light.
- Magnification: Magnification is indicated by the first number given. For instance, "7x" means that you will see an object seven times closer than if you were viewing with the naked eye.
- Objective Lens Diameter: The objective lens diameter is indicated by the second number (e.g., 21mm), which indicates how much light is able to enter the binocular. The larger this number is the better your sight will be in lower light conditions.
- Porro Prisms: The distinctive, off-set binocular housings accommodate two internal porro prisms, which are used to elongate the light path to enable higher magnifications than primitive field or "opera" glasses. Porro prism binoculars typically deliver exceptionally high optical quality at more affordable prices than roof prism binoculars of the same power rating.
- Zip Focus: A great feature found on several of our Sonoma models. With less than half a turn of the focus knob, you can cover the entire focus range. An outstanding feature when observing moving objects like racing cars or running athletes--or when monitoring several distant objects at different ranges.
