The ML7 incorporates Maverick American's MonoLink Suspension System to provide the ultimate riding experience. The MonoLink's linear wheel path moves the rear wheel in the same direction as the impact, resulting in more effective shock absorption. Other suspension systems move the rear wheel opposite to the impact so the force is transferred to the bike and rider. The distance between the axle and cranks hardly changes through the Monolink's suspension travel so it is not affected by chain torque. The ML7 uses a cast magnesium box section design for the suspension link riding on sealed cartridge bearings.
