At 17 feet, this kayak is designed especially for ocean traveling.
Has the most leg & cargo room, high speed capability for comfortable, long journeys.
Can be paddled by 1 or 2 persons. Self-bailing feature for cold water travel can be closed off.
The outer hull is made of a tough Zodiac-type material. With removable chambers for safety.
Included are 2 paddles, 2 seats, 2 foot rests, pump & carry bag. Thigh braces & rudder are optional.
The XK17 Ocean Kayak is specially designed ocean kayak for beginner, intermediate & expert kayaker alike. Handsome, roomy & trim with plenty of room for gear. At 17 feet, it has more leg & cargo room and is capable of traveling at higher speeds than shorter kayaks. Designed for 1 or 2 persons, it is self-bailing. All models are supplied w/ special plugs to close off the self-bailing feature for flat water travel on cold days. The outer hull is made of a tough Zodiac-like material while the removable inner hull utilizes heavy-duty PVC. Replaceable inner chambers for added safety. Included are 2 seats, 2 foot rests, carry bag, double-action hand pump, 2 paddles. For securing lines & equipment, several stainless-steel D-rings are also included. Foot controlled rudder assembly & thigh braces are optional. Length 16' 7"; Beam 3' ; Weight 65 lbs; 2 person cap., 800 lbs. From bag to water to fun in just 12 minutes!
