They have fewer moving parts resulting in less breakage and downtime. Wheels eject the balls differently every time, creating inconsistent ball patterns, while regulated air pressure assures consistent ball placement. Without costly electronic components, air machines are the least expensive on the market. Pneumatic machines also provide unbeatable portability. Batteries are heavy; air isn't.
