PNI's Wayfinder V7000 deluxe car compass is one very smart compass. Patented sensor technology gives this instrument the ability to assess its surrounding conditions. And it offers precise information on orientation, declination (true vs. magnetic north), and altitude, clearly and accurately. Easily readable on the unit's large LCD you'll find interior and exterior temperature (in your choice of Fahrenheit or Celsius) and predictions on potential changes in the weather (based on barometric pressure). The compass' Auto-Integrate circuitry (patented and developed by PNI) gives you an instrument capable of knowing when to turn itself on and off, or even when it needs its backlight feature. Since it's so smart, the V7000 can be used virtually hands-free, freeing you to keep your focus where it should be: on the terrain without. A bearing point can be stored in memory to map your course.
