The radios' featherweight, compact design is ideal for campers and hikers, and their rugged structure can survive the toughest treatment. Available with an armband and earbuds, the FV200 is within easy reach at all times, making them perfect for runners, bikers or anyone who is simply on the go. And with 22 channels and the standard scan feature, this two-way radio makes it easy to stay in touch while you are out and about. An accessory connecter permits the use of a headset for easy hands-free operation. The FV200 broadcasts with 0.5 watts of power over 22 channels. A battery save feature means that you'll get 33 hours of talk time on alkaline batteries, or an estimated 22 hours on NiMH batteries. A low battery alert, keypad lock, 10 call tones, and priority scan round out the features of this two-way radio. Note: The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires that operators on General Mobile Service (GMRS) and Private Land Mobile (PLM) frequencies obtain an FCC license prior to use.
