The 2002 team shocked many by advancing to the quarterfinals, defeating Portugal and Mexico before losing to Germany 1 0. With a core of young players, Landon Donovan, John O'Brien, DaMarcus Beasley, Bobby Convey, replacing the old guard the U.S. is sure to build on their success and one day be crowned World Champions!
