All Kerma graphite composite poles feature wound filament construction for optimal strength, thickness, flexibility and weight. Using computer aided design and computer aided machining, Kerma changes the number and directions of threads spun on given sections of the pole, so you can count on plenty of strength low on the pole where nicks are prevalent without affecting the balanced swing weight. The Scorpion's filament wound shaft has 20% carbon graphite and 80% fiberglass, making it 5 grams heavier than carbon poles without the heavyweight price tag. Up top is a Monoracing 24 x 580 Grip molded in a trigger-style forward position for better grip, quicker pole plants and enhanced pole positioning. Down below the Race basket handles the rigors of racing or cruising on groomed snow, or you can easily remove it and replace it with another Kerma basket for powder and backcountry conditions.
