The rubberized body of the flash provides a sure grip, and a flexible arm allows the flash to be aimed easily at whatever object or scene needs to be illuminated. The flash cover helps alleviate backscatter, which causes white spots to appear on pictures, or, if more illumination is needed, the flash cover can be removed.
