In Siberia, the quality of your equipment can literally be a matter of life and death. Siberian woodsmen, about as tough as they come, rely on these built-to-last Russian axes. Constructed for real men, they feature heads hand-forged from instrument-grade, tempered steel (edge-holding 50-53 HRC). The handles are cut from a solid hunk of sturdy Russian hardwood. The Compact Lumberjack axe has a 17" handle, a swift 1¾ lb. head and a leather sheath. We've field-tested these against those high-falutin' axes from Sweden and Denmark ours are a cut above (and we've chopped the price nearly in half!).
