The Kelty Gunnison 2 packs lots of features into an inexpensive, lightweight package. A great feature of the Kelty Gunnison 2 is its 2 doors and 2 large vestibules. The matching vestibules are 12.1 sq. ft. each, providing ample space to stow gear, and each occupant has there own entrance and exit. With the Gunnison 2, there's no climbing over each other when nature calls in the middle of the night. Because the Gunnison 2 is a free-standing tent, the tent does not need to be staked down before it's set up. This allows you to move the tent around on your site before staking it down in the ideal location. The Gunnison 2 tent is well ventilated to prevent condensation build up on the inside of the tent. The side wall vents, mesh ceiling and fly vents provide great air flow through the tent. The Gunnison's color coded clip construction makes this tent a cinch to set up, even in limited light or foul weather. The Gunnison comes with equipped with DAC Pressfit poles. DAC Pressfit poles are used in all Kelty tents where strength is more critical than weight. These poles feature a ferrule that is pressed in, rather than glued or peened. This system ensures that the poles will be strong and reliable for many years to come, with no slippage or corrosion. The Kelty Arcedge construction lifts the floor seams up off the ground, eliminating these seams as a potential source of leaks. We found very few downsides to the Gunnison. The usable interior space is greater than many other 2-person tents. The dual vestibules are quite ample, and the free-standing design allows the Gunnison to be set up on any terrain. These features come at the cost of about a pound of additional weight.
