The FV500AA runs an estimated 31 hours on three AA alkaline batteries (not included), and an LCD battery meter and battery save feature ensures that you'll stay abreast of your power consumption at all times. Among its many features, the FV500AA includes a backlit display, talk confirmation tone, and roger beep as well as scan, nuisance delete, monitor and auto squelch function.
