To increase abrasion-resistance Mountain Hardwear has reinforced the sides, forearms, and elbows with extra fabric panelssomething you'd expect to see on jackets twice the price. They also didn't skimp on the details that have made their outerwear famous like welding front zipper flaps and powder skirts instead of stitching to save weight and maintain the fabric's integrity.
