These were developed for military and border patrol applications and are mil. spec. tough: totally waterproof, shock-resistant, and rubber armored to meet mil. standards 810E, MIL C-675, and MIL I45208. Tripod mount is included, but they are light enough to be hand-held. You choose a standard model, or one with integrated high-performance illuminated HD stabilized compass (Commander Military version) and ranging reticle for determining distance and direction of distant targets or objects.
